This is a little different from my norm of textile art quilts...

It's for a show called "Quilts of a Different Matter"...

They are "looking for art which references quilts..."

I did so I think in this mixed media piece using

acrylic paint on canvas, swatches of layered fabrics, buttons, jewelry wire, needle and spool...
reactions and feedback welcomed

i really like this..the only thing i can think to add for feedback is maybe i would have piled on lots more things in the same vein or perhaps another one...i love the wire with the quilt motif.

So pretty! I leafed through your blog entries and they are adorable! Love the pockets.
I bet you had fun while you were creating this
What a creative idea. I love your reference to hand quilting by adding the needle and "thread"
How interesting and unusual but answers the brief perfectly. You are obviously able to think outside the box Lynn. I love the little quilty pockets and wearable art below. So pretty with their dangling beads. Cathy
Different but it is still patchwork if you ask me.
